Agora Won't calculate Shipping

Post Agora Won't calculate Shipping
i have the following code as my custom shipping logic. i'm still in test mode
and the problem is the shipping isn't calculated at all in final
checkout, no matter what i seem to do...

My shipping settings are (from top down) 3,0,NO, YES, NO, NO...
(also i'm only providing USPS Priority mail shipping).

see this issue at: www.ThePassionArtifacts.com

Also, when i take off 'Test Mode' and "Submit change"
it stays in Test Mode...

PLEASE HELP SO I CAN START SELLING!!!
Code:
# In this example Shipping Cost is based on the total order.
# $1-$29.99 is 10%, $30-$59.99 is 7.5%, etc. (TURN OFF UPS!)
# Code does not force exit, so handling charge will be added!
@sc_shipping_logic = ( "|1-25.00|||39.8%",
                        "|25.01-50.00|||25.9%",
                        "|50.01-75.00|||19.93%",
                        "|75.01-100.00|||18.95%",
                        "|100.01-130.00|||16.88%",
                        "|130.01-200.00|||12.48%",
                        "|200.01-250.00|||13.18%",
                        "|250.01-|||12.65%",
#
$shipping_price = &calculate_shipping($temp_total,
                   $total_quantity, $total_measured_quantity);

In the product database, in the "shipping" field, do you have anything in that field?
If not, try putting a "0" in there for each of the products and see if the shipping will calculate.

HTH!

BTW, This topic really needs to be handled in the "Shipping Settings Manager" area....

Bonnie ~ i think you're on to something...

in the "Product Edit" there's a
Shipping Price (Std) or
Shipping Wt (lbs -SBW module)
option.

i didn't have that filled out. however, after i filled
in Std (with or without parenthesis) the Agora form
for "Promise Card" still had a box - "Shipping wt. (lbs).
the SBW feature is 'no', so i don't understand why it would
show up at all and "Shipping Price (Std) wouldn't show which
is the checked as 'yes' per the script of my original post...

(just out of curiosity) a response post by ewelin states
'post has been moved - per Eric AgoraCart Tech Support...
why?

It was moved because you had originally posted in the 2Checkout area of the forum.
This is a "Shipping Settings" matter so it needed to be move here.

The aforementioned field needs to have a "0" in it.
It seems to be a quirk of the cart.

To remove the column in the "View Cart" display, you need to remove that field from the
manager -> Cart Display settings.

many thanks for 'Cart Display settings' info.

the Shipping issue is still driving me nuts. if i put
a "0" in as you said, it gives a price of $0.00 and
still doesn't link to the shipping script as per first
post. if i put a price in where you said "0" it isn't
calculated in the final total either, so there's a
calculating disconnect somewhere... Too, the
Online documentation for Shipping is 'Under
Construction' so no answers there...

i've played around for a couple hours with different
variations but nothing's worked - sure hope you
can figure what might be missing...

P.S. I like your "God Bless!" May His Majesty
reward you for your public faith statement...
for if He said "If you deny Me before men I will
deny you before my Father Who is in heaven",
so we can rightly anticipate the converse response...

Yikes!
Why didn't I see this before??? Embarassed

Your shipping logic looks incomplete.
It should be:
Code:

@sc_shipping_logic = ( "|1-25.00|||39.8%",
                        "|25.01-50.00|||25.9%",
                        "|50.01-75.00|||19.93%",
                        "|75.01-100.00|||18.95%",
                        "|100.01-130.00|||16.88%",
                        "|130.01-200.00|||12.48%",
                        "|200.01-250.00|||13.18%",
                        "|250.01-|||12.65%");

#
$shipping_price = &calculate_shipping($temp_total,
                   $total_quantity, $total_measured_quantity);

I would still leave the "0" in the shipping field of the database, though.
We have run into problems with carts when this field was left blank.

try one more? last but not least?

both db_description and product don't
trigger the product description (in my case
Shopping Categories) in the Cart Display.
Just shows up as "0". I would have expected
a name like P-Card or whatever to show the
item purchased. Any ideas?

The Cart display line should look like the following for displaying the product:
Code:

What to Display |  Multiply by QTY? |  Column Heading
--------------------------------------------------------------
product         |  NO               |  Product

I would probably use the "name" field instead of the "product" field. I just think it would look better.
