How do I delete Shiping Methods????
Hello,
I need a bit of help. How do I delete the shipping methods in my cart. In my cart, when someone checks out, it asks them to select a shipping service. How do I delete the shipping methods all together?

Edit the order form... they can be found in the 'html/forms' directory of the store.
Make sure that when you re-upload the file to the server that it is uploaded in ASCII mode.

When I do that, something goes wrong. It screws up the page, and won't process the order.

What are you using to edit the file?
What are you using to upload the file to the server?

Yes, their uploads are not always in ASCII.
You need to download the file via FTP in ASCII mode to your local computer.
Then, edit the file in a plain HTML editor, not a WYSIWTG editor, they will break the file/cart.
You can use Notepad to edit the file, too.
Finally, reupload the file to the server via FTP in ASCII mode.

Did you make a backup of the original file before you edited it?
Did you download the file in ASCII mode? What did you use to edit the file this time?
Did you make sure to re-upload in ASCII mode?
If you didn't make a backup copy of the original file first, you might want to download a fresh copy of the cart. Unzip it on your local computer, edit the original file, making a backup first, and "force" upload it in ASCII mode.
See, if it wasn't downloaded in ASCII, it may have become corrupted and won't work. Also, it may have still been corrupted from your first attempt to edit the file.
BTW, what is the URL to your store?

Something got mesed up in the first post. Let me try again.
Hi.
I am a web designer. My client does not like to O.S.Commerce_applications, so I chose Agora Cart. I have moderate expirience with Agora, though I am not good with advanced stuff. To ensure the privacy of my client, I will need to get permission to give you the store URL.
I used notepad to edit file.
ASCII mode, what is it?
Also....
I have descriptions for each cateogory that are very long. How do I create a link at the top of the page (of each category)? Please be specific.
Thanks.

ASCII mode is a file transfer mode. There is binary and ASCII.
Binary is for graphics, compressed files, and other files that contain "machine" code.
But files that are basically plaint text like the files in AgoraCart, they need to be transfered in ASCII mode.
If you use an FTP client like Filezilla (a free FTP client) there are settings to specify which files get transfered in ASCII mode.
I have some links to html editors and ftp clients, to help webmasters, at:

This thread should help you with the category link:

If I use free FTP, how do I copy it in ASCII mode?

What would the code look like if I were to follow all of these steps? It's just to complicated.

Janus,
It's not too difficult... Especially for a web designer...
We're dealing with basic HTML code here...
As I had said in my previous post, there are settings in the FTP client to choose the file transfer mode.
ASCII and binary are both file transfer modes.

I understand, but for some reason it's having trouble. If you can give me just the code, that would be great. I'll even pay you for it.

Just delete the entire <tr> section that contains the shipping method stuff in the order form file.
You can do this...

Q: If I want to integrate the Agora site into a blank template, how would I go about doing so? Is there a script I can use? For example, integrating this PHPBB forum into the agoraguide.com site.
Q: If I am using iTransact as my payment thing, what form do I edit, and what is the location?
Thanks

When you change th subject or topic of the thread, you need to post in the appropriate places in the forum...

Actually, the agoraguide.com site template/theme was integrated into phpBB...
This thread should help you with setting up a custom template for use in AgoraCart.

Posts on payment gateways need to be posted in the appropriate place.
The place for questions about iTransact need to be posted at:
http://www.agoraguide.com/faq/viewforum.php?f=5
A simple answer to your question though, is that all of the various gateway's order forms can be found in the 'html/forms' directory of the store.
You can even study the file structure of agoraCart for yourself so that you have a better idea of where everything is located. This should help:

Way to difficult.
I have no expirience with Agora, and am confident that I am doing the editting wrong. How much do you charge to do this for me?
I'm running out of time. My deadline for this project is soon.
