Could anyone tell me if it is possible to create sub-categories with Agora Cart? And, if yes, how to do it?

Yes, it is possible... and has already been done...
The hack for it is found in the Pro Forum.
So, if you're a pro member, you can retrieve the hack from there.
Also, 5.0.0 pro version already has subcategory capability.
