View Order Log is empty is after successful order submit
I have set up in the main program setting to have orders written to a log file. I have set the order log name to be orders.log. Payment type is set to Offline. After I checkout and successfully submit my test order an email is sent to the correct address with the order and the last half of the CC #. Now, I am assuming that I need to go into the store manager to 'View Orders' and retrieve the 1st half of the CC number so I can complete the customer's order. However, when I do this the order.log is empty. I checked the permissions on the file and it is set by default to 600. I tried to change to 666 allowing RW for all users however, it appears that I cannot change the permissions on this file.
Any help would be great.

You still have the same problem as the previous post you made.
The cart is empty and there is an error on the orderform....
You can't expect a transaction to go through with this kind of thing happening....

I reset the 0077 Umask back to 'no' and all now appears to be fine.

I noticed that you must've figured out the problem when I visited your store this morning.
Glad to see that you got it worked out.
You might want to post this about the 0077 mask in your other post about missing buttons.

Where is the orders.log file located? I would like to download it to read in notepad.
Thanks!

It's in the store's directory, along with the 'library', 'protected', etc... directories...

 folder is gone!
We actually just stopped using our AgoraCart and I am trying to find all our customers names and email addresses from old orders, but the folder seems to be missing! I can't find the orders.log anywhere and the log_files directory doesn't exist! Any ideas where else I could look?
Thanks again!

Alex,
Old order emails???
If you can't find the directory, not sure I can even help you.
It doesn't just disappear on its own.

 planned on emails
Our hosts server was hacked into and some files were replaced with a forwarding script. Possibly the orders files were deleted when the scripts were deleted! I figured out a way to export all the order emails easily. Thanks so much for your help.
Best,
Alex

for most files either 644 or 755 will work and will be safe enough. these two; 777 and 666 are dangerous. never allow the "world" to write or write and execute together. always use the lowest permission settings and still maintain function.
your server was hacked and a forwarding of emails was installed? who is the hosting and did they hack your store? you should find out all the exact details and forward this information to mr ed asap.
