how to chance the productpagelayout for a button
i do want to chance the button : " add to cart"
- the button itself in a other design
- the position of the button
How to do this?
- looking at the avaible productPages ( how to do this on my shop?)
my site http://www.janzerospec.com/shoppingcart/agora.cgi?cart_id=5388789.31594*zx6TI0&;product=BodyStyling_SubaruWRX
As you noticed the productspage is to wide( cause: the button add to cart)
So i place the button under the productpic
But first i must get a isda of all possible productspage layouts: how are they accesible that i can se them ?
" On the fly": means? ( i can't find it in my dictonairy)
Than there is a second important issue: the set up of the productpics
Those productpics must be placed in the html/images directory?
But i like to organising the productpics in folders and put them not directly in the html/images directory
Is this possible to use subdirectories for productpics in teh html/images directory?

Just make a new graphic and name it the same as the default buttons in AgoraCart.
"on the fly" means dynamically.
Yes, you can use subdirectories in the html/images directory. I use them, myself, in my store.
BTW, please do not post the cart_id when copying your store URL.

Everyone who enters the cart needs to have a cart id assigned to them. When you post the cart id, a new cart id is not being assigned when someone visits the site and they see everything that is in the cart instead having a clean cart.

So point out a specific page ( during developing the shop) is not possible?
If you want to show some result: those pages has to been dynamically generated: i that case you have to explain to a person what you did in teh shop to get particulair pages, or not?

If you want to see what each ppinc page will look like, just view the products with the default ppinc. Then edit the URL in the browser like so:
http://www.k-motorsports.com/shop_cart/agora.cgi?cart_id=&product=audia4_suspension&ppinc=1a
http://www.k-motorsports.com/shop_cart/agora.cgi?cart_id=&product=audia4_suspension&ppinc=2a
etc...

You can, but I wouldn't get them too deep in subdirectories...

Yes, but the acceptance of worldwide credit cards is dependent on your merchant account.

Supported gateways are listed at:
http://www.agoracart.com/paymentgateways.htm
You will need to investigate merchant accounts for yourself and find out what is available to you.

Strange enough ?: i placed subdirectories for SubaruWRX in html/images :
html/images/zerospecsubaruWRX/AirIntakes ...Bodystyling... and so on
But the productphoto's don't show up?
I placed a few productphoto's in the image folder itself and those productphoto's i do see in the shop
I took the original formatted photo's from the Zerospec cardatabase

They aren't showing up because you need to edit the path of the product in the Product Edit screen.
Where you may have had just "myimage.jpg" in there, you will now have to have in there:
zerospecsubaruWRX/AirIntakes/myimage.jpg
Any subdirectories that you make will have to be reflected in the image field.

Ofcourse
Thanks!
I like the big productphoto's for the carparts and want only use thumbnailphoto,s when i order a product and see my bill
But the Photodimension is still limited to the screen resolution of 17 inch : 1024 px
So i have to make photo's for two columns on the productpage and also for one productphoto
- i do want a buy button and productdescription under the productphoto
Q1: is there any control about this text and position of buy button?
Q2 ; the photodimensions are via trial and error to get?
Look at the shop http://www.janzerospec.com/shoppingcart/agora.cgi and stay on the Introscreen and choose SubaruWRX: Airintakes: Is it not a nice big atractive product : yes
( only it is still to to wide)
i must look at the example of the other productpages ( stupid fool i am)

I must say that at first the productmanager is confusing because there ia a item : a product and also a catgory
When you start to make a empty category( no products in it) then it will b e labelled with braces and a number : e.g (1)
The same labelling occurs when you add 1 product to the empty catgegory
Well it should be more logic to give a empty category: (0)

 auto assigned product id
hell-o
are you talking about the product id? this is coded to chronologically assign a product id to each new product entered in the dB. this data is absolutely the pivitable, most basic data the entire dB runs on and can't be forgotten nor neglected. you can assign a product id whatever you want as long as you adhere to the restrictions. never duplicate a product id, use numeric characters only (unless you absolutely need alpha - numeric values (letters and numbers). never use any special characters... - ) ( * & ^ % the lenght of the id is limited but can be increased if needed, etc.
so the self assigning product id is there to protect you and save the hassels that can arise when assigning the product id your self.

dan

I anm glad that it is not possible to alter ans wondering onlyabout this:

if you create a category with no name it is named *NAMELESS* (1) by default. the (1) means there is one product in that category. this is found anywhere in the manager that indexes categories like the edit products screen for example.
any category with a name assigned will show the category name plus how many products are in the category...
